Unexpected visitor at the Hills

What a surprise!!!

We were lucky enough this morning to get a surprise visit from one of the icons of the bird world. A magnificent Ground Hornbill decided to give us all a surprise visit this morning. He is a male and is part of a breeding project on a reserve bordering Madikwe. Every now and again he is seen on game drive but we were blessed to actually find him in the lodge this morning. He is a stunning bird and we hope to see much more of him.
