Self Drive

About 4-5 hours from Johannesburg

Please do not follow your GPS! Google Maps do not yet supply the best directions to get to the lodge.

The drive from Johannesburg takes about 3.5 hours from Johannesburg/Pretoria to the gate and 1 hour in the park, as Madikwe Hills is situated in the middle of the reserve.

You can drive via Zeerust to the Abjaterskop Gate or via Sun City to the Molatedi Gate. You can find more detailed directions here.

ROAD TRANSFERS

Registered, professional transfer companies, with all insurances and indemnities are used for road transfers to Madikwe Hills.

Air-conditioned vehicles make the 4 to 5 hour drive comfortable and enjoyable. The vehicle type used will depend on the number of people on the transfer.

Federal Airlines offers a world-class executive daily air shuttle service operating from O R Tambo (Johannesburg) International Airport to Madikwe Game Reserve.

Federal Airlines operates a fleet of latest model turbine and piston aircrafts. All flights are undertaken by professional and highly experienced commercial pilots.

A meet and greet can be arranged for guests arriving at O R Tambo at no extra cost.

Transfers from the Madikwe Airstrip to the Lodge are complimentary.
