Guiding Highlights: April 2019
It was an exciting month for guides, trackers and guests at Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge. From cheetah stalking through the lush grass and a warthog peaking from it’s den, to African wild dog on the hunt and a silly baboon, there were endless unforgettable experiences to be had. Below are a series of photographs taken by Field Guides Marc Grove and Samson Gaopelo.
The Bates pack of wild dog were found close to the North-Eeast corner of the park, once we joined the sighting we followed for 15 or so minutes until 2 member spotted a small group of impala! They gave chase, we gave chase and with in a short amount of time the ferocious killers took down this juvenile impala! A difficult sighting to witness but what an unforgettable experience out in Madikwe Game Reserve! ~ Marc Grove
Tlou dam in the western sector of Madikwe Game Reserve attracts large herds of elephant during the warmer days! Here we hit the jack pot a didn’t know there to keep your eyes! ~ Marc Grove
