My first and last!!!!
Pangolin!!!!!!!!!
I finally got the chance to see my first pangolin here at Madikwe Game Reserve. This exceptionally rare creature doesn’t show itself often but on a cool day this one was up and about and we finally got the privilege to observe him in his natural state.
It is also with a heavy heart that I realized that this is probably my last one here at Madikwe Hills. Myself and Diana the assistant general manager of Madikwe Hills have decided to bid Madikwe Hills and Madikwe farewell and this would be our last day to work in this beautiful lodge. We are getting married in December of this year and after more than four years of working here me and Diana are relocating to Botswana and will continue to develop our careers over in the unspoiled lush which is the Savuti in the Linyanti concession of Botswana.
I just would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody here at Madikwe Hills and all the guests that visited us for four years of unforgettable experiences. This place truly made me grow as a person and gave me so much to reflect on. It gave me dedication, trust, appreciation for nature and our conservation duties, and of course my wife to be. I would also like to thank the Kruger family of Madikwe Hills for everything they have done for us and the support they gave us during our time here. Without that the person I am today would not be possible and I have allot to be thankful for.
We bid everybody of Madikwe a most sad farewell and we want everybody to know that we will always have you in our hearts no matter where we go or what we do. We will be back to visit for sure.
